Passing through Valdicastello Carducci and crossing a small bridge, a hundred meters along our little country road the Piovane valley opens up; you have arrived at ALMORA B&B, a 1700’s Tuscan manor immersed in the greenery and silence of ancient olive and chestnut groves.
The first records of the house date back to 1791, between the French Revolution and Napoleon's arrival at the pyramids, and was inhabited until the early seventies. Recently renovated with great care and respect for the simplicity of its original design and usage of only natural materials such as wood, terracotta and stone, it is suspended in time without giving up modern amenities.
Here the owners Kyle Ann Smith and Dado Bigoni combine their lifelong experiences in art and cuisine, creating an enchanting place where artworks color an environment already imbued with life and feeling, while in the morning you awaken to the fragrance of homemade bread and cakes fresh out of the oven.
We are a family of artists and nature lovers. Our creativity and professional life ranges from sculpture, painting, photography and music. Interests and thoughts that through Almora B&B we enjoy sharing with our guests, in an ambience of hospitality, local culture and art.
Designer of Almora’s restoration, Kyle Ann is a sculptor and painter, from New York to Pietrasanta for the love of marble. Dado is a former restaurant owner and bartender, between Pantelleria and Versilia, welcoming host and creator of our breakfasts.
